Golf carts must display SC permit sticker. Available at any SC Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office or through the SC DMV website
Must be driven by a licensed driver
Allowed on secondary roadways only
May cross primary roads (Ocean Boulevard, 27th S, Highway 17 or Sea Mountain Highway)
Must obey all State traffic laws
Seating capacity cannot be exceeded
Permitted golf carts may only be operated on secondary roads within the City of North Myrtle Beach with a posted speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less between the hours of sunrise and sunset
The State Law requires that children under the age of 12 must wear a seat belt when riding in a golf cart on a public road
