Final Comprehensive Plan Public Engagement Drop-In

City of North Myrtle Beach News Posted on September 24, 2025

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The City of North Myrtle Beach is updating its Comprehensive Plan, a long-range policy document that will guide decision-making and development for the next five to ten years. To ensure the plan reflects the vision and priorities of the community, the City invites residents and business owners to participate in the final public engagement opportunity.

The final Public Engagement Drop-In will be held on Wednesday, October 1, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the FFA Camp Gym (1069 FFA Circle Road).

This session will provide an overview of the Comprehensive Plan update process and give attendees a chance to share their ideas on important topics, such as housing, growth, land use, transportation, economic development, recreation, and quality of life.

The Comprehensive Plan Community Survey, open now through Wednesday, October 8, provides an additional way for community members to offer valuable feedback. This feedback will help shape the vision and priorities for the future of North Myrtle Beach.

The survey can be accessed online here. Paper copies are available at the Planning & Development counter inside City Hall.

For more information about the Comprehensive Plan update, the survey, or the upcoming Public Engagement Drop-In, please contact the Assistant Director of Planning & Development, Suzanne Pritchard, at lspritchard@nmb.us.
