NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- In addition to the crews working on Poinsett street, the RH Moore Company will mobilize a second crew to install the new 30-inch water transmission line on Windy Hill Road Extension starting Friday, October 24, and Monday, October 27.
The first closure will take place on the road exiting the Windy Hill shopping area Friday, with a second road closure taking place on Windy Hill Extension, and the Walgreens back entrance on Monday.
To keep crews and citizens safe, 'Sidewalk Closed' signs will also be seen in the area while crews begin working on laying down the pipe for the transmission line.
These closures will start in the morning between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM, and will be removed between 5:30 PM and 6:00. PM each evening. The construction period will be approximately one month, weather permitting.
Please be reminded this transmission line project is a part of a larger effort to increase the resiliency and reliability of the City's drinking water. The transmission line and water storage tank were both funded by the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority, a part of South Carolina's Infrastructure Investment Program.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution, reduce speed, and remain alert while driving these roads starting on Friday, October 24.
The City of North Myrtle Beach wants to thank residents for their patience in the progress of this project, and the crews of RH Moore for their cooperation and hard work to make this possible.
