NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The City of North Myrtle Beach is accepting applications for an open seat on the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA).
The Board of Zoning Appeals is appointed to four-year terms by the Mayor and City Council. It is the Board’s duty to hear and decide appeals where there is an alleged error in the administration of the Zoning Ordinance, as well as appeals for variances from the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. The Board also hears and decides requests for special exceptions.
The BZA generally meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM in Council Chambers at City Hall.
Applicants must be residents of the City of North Myrtle Beach.
The deadline to apply for this open seat is Monday, March 9. Residents are welcome to submit an application for consideration at any time for future vacancies.
