NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The City of North Myrtle Beach Parks & Recreation Department is looking for some great volunteers to help coach fall sports.
Volunteers can expect a rewarding experience helping young athletes of all ages get better and have a great time playing several team sports.
Head coaches and assistant coaches are needed. The coaches will help with the following sports and age groups:
- 7–8-year-old softball
- 9–10-year-old softball
- 7–8-year-old baseball
- 11–13-year-old baseball
- 4–6-year-old soccer
- 7–8-year-old soccer
- 9–10-year-old soccer
- 8–10-year-old volleyball
- 11–13-year-old volleyball
Volunteers will need to pass a background check and need to sign up as soon as possible. Coaches will primarily be assigned to teams at the NMB Park & Sports Complex and the NMB J. Bryan Floyd Community Center for two nights per week during the fall sports season.
If you are nervous about volunteering or have never coached before, don’t worry. Training will be provided. Practices and games last between 45 minutes to an hour.
