NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The City of North Myrtle Beach will conduct its annual routine inspection of the Barefoot Swing Bridge from Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7.
During this time, motorists and pedestrians should expect intermittent delays and lane closures as inspection crews perform work on and around the bridge.
Inspection activities will include the use of a man lift positioned on the bridge deck and a boat lift for examining the underside of the bridge. The man lift will be relocated as needed to allow normal bridge operations, and the boat lift will move out of the navigable channel to accommodate passing vessels.
The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this routine maintenance process.
