NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The City’s contractor for the upcoming Beach Renourishment project will begin mobilizing equipment in preparation for construction scheduled to start in December 2025.
Offshore equipment mobilization began in early October, followed by land-based equipment mobilization, which started November 1. Equipment and materials will initially be staged at the 18th Avenue North Street end. Full mobilization will be completed by November 29.
Construction will commence at the north end of the project area and proceed southward over an estimated 59-day period, spanning December and January. Work is expected to take place continuously, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, weather permitting.
The City appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation during this important project to enhance shoreline resistance and protect our beaches. Updates and additional information will be provided as work progresses.
