NMBOR Junior Lifeguards are youth ages 9-15 who love being in and around the water. During this camp, participants will learn beach safety, First Aid and CPR, and basic water rescue skills. Every day during the camp, Junior Lifeguards will engage in fun physical challenges and participate in team activities as they learn about how to keep themselves and others safe around the ocean. The camp is taught by Beach Patrol Officers and highly trained ocean lifeguards. Junior Lifeguards will have the opportunity to shadow real lifeguards as well.
Each participant should arrive to the beach wearing sunscreen as desired, bring a water bottle and towel, and be ready for some high energy fun. There will be one day where each age group will not be on the beach because they will be doing CPR training in a classroom.

Open to ages 9-15, this program is for kids and teens who love the water and want to learn about Beach Safety. Participants enjoy fun, physical challenges and have opportunities to build teamwork while learning how to keep themselves and others safe in and around the ocean.
Junior Lifeguards meet at Main Street Beach from 8:30-10:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. See below for the 2025 program dates.
