Planning Commission

The Planning Commission engages in a continuing planning program for the physical, social, and economic well-being of the City. Appointed by the Mayor and City Council to serve four-year terms, the Planning Commission is responsible for promoting municipal planning, which includes the adoption of a comprehensive plan. The Planning Commission also has the authority to initiate changes to the Zoning Ordinance and Land Development Regulations, maintains the City’s future land use map, and reviews the City’s capital improvement program. In addition, the commission administers the land development regulations and approves preliminary and final plats for major subdivisions of property. Regular Meetings

  • Generally held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, after City Council meetings on Monday
  • Morning workshop is held at 9:15 AM
  • The meeting is held at 5PM in Council Chambers at City Hall
