NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The North Myrtle Beach Police Department is proud to announce that Police Chief Dana Crowell was recently sworn in as the President of the South Carolina Police Chiefs Association (SCPCA). This prestigious appointment reflects Chief Crowell’s dedication to the law enforcement profession and her leadership both within the North Myrtle Beach Police Department and across the state of South Carolina.
As President of the SCPCA, Chief Crowell will serve a one-year term representing police chiefs throughout South Carolina. Since becoming Chief of Police in 2023, she has worked tirelessly to enhance community relations, improve public safety, and promote innovative policing strategies in North Myrtle Beach. Her leadership within the SCPCA will further her commitment to the advancement of professional law enforcement standards, officer training, and public safety initiatives across South Carolina.
In her new role as SCPCA President, Chief Crowell will focus on several key initiatives, including promoting officer mental health and wellness, enhancing community engagement practices, and fostering collaborative relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.
