NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The North Myrtle Beach Fire Department invites residents, businesses, and community members to join in a special celebration as we welcome the new Fire Engine 5. The Blessing and Push-In Ceremony will take place on Monday, November 4, at 11 AM at Fire Station 5, located in Barefoot Resort.
This time-honored tradition marks the arrival of a new engine dedicated to the safety and well-being of our community.
The push-in ceremony dates back to the 1800s, when horse-drawn fire engines could not back into stations and had to be pushed in by hand. Today, the ceremony remains a powerful symbol of community support and teamwork.
We look forward to coming together with community members to mark this exciting addition to our City’s firefighting capabilities.
