Parking Registration Information 

Parking registrations for North Myrtle Beach Residents and Non-Resident Property Owner is currently available. All other parking registrations will open February 16, 2022, at 10 am.


PLEASE READ BELOW AS THERE ARE IMPORTANT CHANGES AND UPDATES FOR PARKING REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2022 SEASON

  • The City’s paid parking season begins March 1, 2022 and ends October 31, 2022.
  • Beginning with the 2022 season, vehicle parking will be enforced via license plate. Your vehicle license plate will become your digital permit. Physical decals for vehicles, other than golf carts, will no longer be issued beginning February 1, 2022.
  • Golf carts will still require a physical decal to be adhered to the golf cart front windshield. Golf carts without a windshield will require a decal to be adhered to the front of the cart next to the SCDMV sticker.

Residents

  • Initial free registrations (2) that occurred in 2021 do NOT expire until the end of 2022. Your current decal􀀃displays the expiration date.
  • If a third (3rd) registration was purchased in 2021, this decal expired in 2021. Registration must be renewed in 2022 but no physical decal will be issued for vehicles. Your license plate will become your digital permit.
  • Register online by clicking the following link Parking Registration you will need the following to complete your registration:
    • Driver’s license with North Myrtle beach residential address.
    • Current (not expired) vehicle or golf cart registration with same residential address.
  • Register in person at 904 2nd Avenue North (the old Santee Cooper building).

Non-Resident Property Owners

  • Initial free registration (1) that occurred in 2021 does NOT expire until the end of 2022. Your current decal displays the expiration date.
  • If a second (2nd) registration was purchased in 2021, this decal expired in 2021. Registration must be renewed in 2022 but no physical decal will be issued for vehicles. Your license plate will become your digital permit.
  • Register online by clicking the following link Parking Registration you will need:
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Current (not expired) vehicle registration (ANY STATE) or golf cart registration (must be registered with SCDMV at their North Myrtle Beach property address)
    • Proof of North Myrtle Beach property ownership (City personnel can locate the Horry County paid property tax receipt online at the parking office).
  • Register in person at 904 2nd Avenue North (the old Santee Cooper building).

Horry County Resident Parking Registration: 

PLEASE READ BELOW AS THERE ARE IMPORTANT CHANGES AND UPDATES FOR PARKING REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2022 SEASON

  • BEGINNING WITH THE 2022 PARKING SEASON, PHYSICAL DECALS WILL NO LONGER BE ISSUED. YOUR VEHICLE LICENSE PLATE WILL BECOME YOUR DIGITAL PERMIT.
  • Starting February 16, at 10am, two hundred (200) parking registrations at $200.00 each will be available for purchase online on a first come, first served basis to Horry County residents who do not live in or own property in North Myrtle Beach.
  • Complete this registration online by clicking the following link Parking Registration.  (Note: Until February 16, this link will only bring you to a landing page. On February 16, this link will activate and allow registrations to be processed.)
  • No walk-in registration service is available for Horry County registrations. Registration is online only!
  • This registration is good for one year.

More Information for North Myrtle Beach Residents:

A North Myrtle Beach resident whose vehicles (i.e., golf cart, LSV, motorcycle, automobile or pickup truck must completely fit into a standard parking space) are registered to their North Myrtle Beach address may apply for up to two (2) complimentary parking registrations per voting property address. Golf carts must be registered with the SCDMV at the resident’s North Myrtle Beach address. Each household may also purchase one additional parking registration for $200 annually. Vehicle parking registrations will no longer require a decal to be displayed. Your license plate will become your digital permit. Golf carts will require a decal to be adhered to the front windshield. Golf carts without a windshield will require a decal to be adhered to the front of the cart next to the SCDMV sticker.  

More Information for North Myrtle Beach Non-Resident Property Owners:

North Myrtle Beach nonresident property owners may apply for one (1) complimentary parking registration for their personal vehicle or golf cart. Automobiles do not have to be registered to your North Myrtle Beach property address but must be registered in the property owner’s name. Proof of residential property ownership is required. Each household may also purchase one additional parking registration for $200 annually. Vehicle parking registrations will no longer require a decal to be displayed. The vehicle license plate will become your digital permit. Golf carts will require a decal to be adhered to the front windshield. Golf carts without a windshield will require a decal to be adhered to the front of the cart next to the SCDMV sticker.
